Two Charged With DUI, One With Theft

The theft charged stemmed from a case of stolen prescription medication.

On June 9, 2012, Elizabeth C. Donnelly, 26, of Willow Grove, was observed travelling south on Easton Road when an officer observed her vehicle make several lane changes without signalling and swerving on the roadway.

Police said Donnelly had the odor of alcohol on her breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Donnelly failed to successfully complete coordination tests and was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Charges were filed in Magisterial District Judge Douple's office on June 11, 2012.

On June 12, 2012 Michael E. Damm, 21, of Pipersville, was observed operating a vehicle in an erratic manner on Broad Street and subsequently stop for speeding on the Route 611 Bypass.

Police said Damm had an odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech and glossy eyes. A series of field coordination tests were administered. The officer determined that Damm was driving while under the influence of alcohol and took him into custody. Damm was processed and released. Charges were filed on June 13, 2012 at District Magistrate Douples office.

On May 18, 2012, Julie A. Hook, 33, Doylestown, was arrested on suspicion of Theft and Receiving Stolen Property after police said she stole prescription medications belonging to a 44 year old woman.

The theft occurred in the 1200 Block of Almshouse Road, Doylestown Township. Hook was video arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Daniel Baronowski and committed to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after she was unable to post bail, which was set at 10 percent of $5,000, or $500.
