Three Charged with DUI, One with Theft

One of the DUI stops involved a driver police said left the scene of an accident.

Doylestown Township police recently arrested three people on suspicion of driving under the influence recently, and one person on suspicion of theft from Redner's.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol, Accident Involving Damage, and related charges

On Dec. 7 at 1 pm, the department investigated a two vehicle accident on Route 202 at Route 313.

Investigation determined that David Morin, 68, of Doylestown, who initially did not stop his vehicle at the accident scene, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest. He provided blood samples for testing. The above charge was filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 11 at 7:40 pm, a vehicle was reported to be driving the wrong direction on Route 202 Bypass at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located pulling into a parking lot at Route 611 and Edison Furlong Road.

The driver, Kevin Fallon, 55, of Chester Springs, PA, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him. He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest. He provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Dec. 14.
 
Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charges

On Dec. 11 at 1:45 am, a vehicle was observed traveling on Route 611 at 60 MPH in a 45 MPH speed zone and swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Michael Taylor, 29, of Warminster, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest. He provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Dec. 12.

Retail Theft

On Dec. 2 at 1:10 pm, the department was called to Redner’s Market, 1661 Easton Road for a report of retail theft. Investigation determined that Marion Harris-Ivey, 52, of Levittown, had removed items valued at $9.00.

She was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Mark Douple on the above charge. Bail was set at $75,000 unsecured.
