Thief Takes $500 From Liberty Gas Station: Police

According to information from the police, a representative from the business said that about $500 was missing from the register Saturday.

Officers are investigating an alleged theft at the Liberty gas station on N. Main Street.

According to information from the police, a representative from the business said about $500 was missing from the register after a theft that occurred between noon and 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.

This is the second time in recent weeks that the Liberty gas station has been targeted. In August, a man stole $320 from the register.

According to police, on Aug. 5, a dark-haired man in his mid-20s came into the store, paid for gas and a soda then “reached over and removed” about $320 from the register. He then ran to his car, a silver Toyota Corolla.
