Thief Robs Car, Makes $0.99 Credit Card Purchase, Police Say

Three cars were robbed last week on Fonthill Drive.

Someone who allegedly robbed three cars in Doylestown Borough last week enjoyed a late-night snack on someone else’s dime.

Doylestown Borough Police say three residents of Fonthill Drive reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicles overnight on Sept. 18 into Sept. 19.

One victim said his debit card was stolen and used to make a $0.99 purchase at a local convenience store around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 19.

The victim said in addition to his wallet and debit card, two packs of cigarettes and a bottle of prescription medication was taken from his car.

The second victim said a cell phone and a one terabyte hard drive were taken from his vehicle. The items are valued at approximately $175, according to police.

Nothing was taken from the third car, police said.

All three vehicles had the contents of their glove compartments strewn across the front passenger seat, police said.
