Temple Student Critical after Shooting

Originally from the Doylestown area, the man traded gunshots with suspects who tried to rob him.

A Temple University student from the Doylestown area was in critical condition Monday after an overnight shooting in Philadelphia.

6ABC reported Monday that Rob Eells, 21, was shot after he exchanged gunfire with three men who tried to rob him.

Eells was in critical condition Monday afternoon at Temple University Hospital, according to hospital spokesman Rick Cushman.

According to 6ABC, the shooting happened near N. 12th and Dauphin around 1:45 a.m. Monday. As Eells and a roommate were smoking outside their apartment, three men tried to rob them at gunpoint, but Eells, who also has a license to carry a gun, shot back, wounding one of the assailants.

Now we see the folly of licensing people to carry weapons. Give the robbers what they want and LIVE - or let's play silly NRA Gunfight at the OK Corral and see how many will DIE !

I'm just happy the innocent student had a chance to fight back. Maybe the loosers will think twice before they try to rob another armed person.

Now we see the folly of criminalizing gun ownership for law-abiding citizens. Anybody who could not only recognize that that's the obvious lesson here, but take away the exact opposite is clearly retarded and/or insane.

If only there was a way to go back and guide his shots, Jesus I pray that he could have landed three shots in the spinal columns of these losers with nothing better to do at 1:45 am then to try to rob someone. How I wish they could be paralyzed fro the neck down, leading useless lives to match their useless minds. I hope and pray that AIDS and syphilis descends upon them and all people who think like Jack Sheen.

Make sure to get the anti-gunner's name correct in your prayers, his name is Jack Steen.
