Teen Receives Threatening Text Messages, Police Report

Text messages to a 16-year-old girl threatened her family if she did not send suggestive photos of herself, according to the Doylestown Borough Police Department.

The following incident reports were provided by the Doylestown Borough Police Department:

A 16-year old girl of the tens block of Clinton Street reported that she received numerous text messages on April 12 between 12:41 p.m. and approximately 4:15 p.m. where the caller threatened to harm the victim’s friends and family members if the victim did not send the caller “sexy” pictures of herself.

A 22-year-old Doylestown man was arrested on April 13 at approximately 2:26 a.m. after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for allegedly traveling above the posted speed limit on State Street in the area of Clinton Street.

During the traffic stop, police noted the driver exhibited signs of intoxication. When asked to perform field sobriety tests, officers report that he failed and was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood analysis.

Harassment 

A 53-year-old Doylestown man was cited on April 13 after he allegedly spit at a family member while engaged in a domestic dispute.

Driving Under the Influence 

A 49-year-old Doylestown man, was arrested on April 14 at approximately 1:22 a.m. after officers received the report of a domestic disturbance on Broad Street in the area of Veterans Lane. 

Upon arrival, officers observed the man sitting in his running vehicle with a female standing nearby. Berg was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication and was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to police.

Berg was transported to Doylestown hospital for legal blood.

Assault 

A 27-year-old Bensalem man was arrested on April 14 at approximately 2:03 a.m. after he allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with two other men on S. Main Street.

The first victim reported that the Besnalem man punched him in the face while walking on S. Main Street between Oakland Avenue and Ashland Street. The victim stated that he fell to the ground and chipped his tooth, according to the police report.

The second victim reported that the man grabbed him by the neck while inside Wawa and pushed him into the front window, police say.

The Benslem man was also charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Theft

  • Two bicycles were stolen from the detached garage of a residence on the 300 block of W. Oakland Avenue sometime between 4 p.m. on April 13 and 7 a.m. on April 14. Police report that the first bike is described as a grey Cannondale Quick 3 valued at approximately $713. The second bike is described as a red Trek with a red bag on the handlebars. The bicycle is valued at approximately $650.
  • A cell phone valued at approximately $50 was stolen from Central Bucks High School West sometime between 11:23 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on April 16, police report.
  • Police report that a black Droid cell phone and charger valued at approximately $500 were stolen from the counter area of the Steak and Hoagie Factory sometime between 8:10 PM and 10:00 PM on Friday, April 12.
