A teen driver safety program will be held this Sunday at Fred Beans Ford Lincoln Mitsubishi.
The event, "Survive Your Drive," is sponsored by TMA Bucks, Central Bucks YMCA and the Fred Beans Family of Dealerships. It will begin at noon and will feature interactive simulations of drinking while driving, texting while driving and other distractions.
There will also be demonstrations by local police officers and emergency personnel along with representatives from TMA Bucks, Central Bucks YMCA, Fred Beans and volunteer professionals.
“TMA Bucks is extremely proud to support such an important event for teen drivers in Bucks County,” said TMA Bucks executive director Bill Brady. “By participating in educational hands on events like this one, the TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program is committed to continue to be a leading advocate for teen driver safety throughout Bucks County.”
Space for the event is limited; pre-registration is required. To reserve your spot, contact the Central Bucks YMCA at 215-348-8131, ext. 1167. The dealership is located at 876 N. Easton Rd, Doylestown.
Teens 16 to 18 years of age must have a valid driving permit or license and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Groups of teens along with their parents or guardians will rotate between classroom demonstrations and a driving course over the duration of the afternoon.
