Pilot Badly Burned in Fiery Small Plane Crash

A small plane went down in Doylestown Township on Saturday, hitting power lines and causing a power outage in the area.

A small plane that may have been trying to make an emergency landing on the Route 611 bypass in Doylestown Township crashed on Saturday after taking off from Doylestown Airport.

Mulitple reports say the small plane hit power lines and went down at Route 313 around noon in a fiery crash.

The pilot was badly burned according to an Intelligencer report. Officials say the pilot was the only person on board. Philly.com reports the man was taken to Temple University Hospital.

CBS Philly posted photos from the scene.

The tail of the plane was caught on power lines and power was cut to about 150 PECO customers. Power has since been restored to most of them, according to CBS Philly.
