Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Bucks

The National Weather Service warning will last until 9 p.m.

Update 6:20 p.m.: Storms are now over Central Bucks County. The National Weather Service radar says they stretch in a line from Philipsburg to Doylestown to King of Prussia to Wilmington, Del.

The warniong remains in effect until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service on Sunday warned of severe thunderstorms heading toward Doylestown and Central Bucks County.

The service issued a severe thunderstorm warning at 3:40 p.m.; it will last until 9 p.m.

The warning covers several Pennsylvania counties, including Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Dauphin and Delaware.

The storms are capable of quarter-inch hail and wind gusts in excess of 60 miles an hour, the weather service said.
