Resisting Arrest Leads To Multiple Charges in Incident

Other police incidents include DUI and retail theft at Kohl's.

A Sellersville woman has been charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, driving under the influence and more after a run in with Doylestown Township police.

On Dec. 19 at 7 p.m., township police say they were investigating a report of an intoxicated driver that started on Gate House Circle and ended in a parking lot at North Main Street and Route 313.

The driver, Rachel Keller, 25, of Sellersville, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about her and showed signs of intoxication, according to police.

Officers tried to arrest her, but they said she refused to cooperate and tried to kick out the windows of the patrol car while fighting with them.

Keller was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Joanne Kline on the above charge. Bail was set at $30,000 or 10%.

She was lodged in the in lieu of bail.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charge

On Dec. 18 at 2:50 a.m., a vehicle was observed traveling on the Route 202 Bypass, swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Daniel Ferro, 44, of Gulph Mills, PA, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was arrested. He provided blood samples for testing, and the above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Dec. 19.

Retail Theft

On Dec. 23, the department was called to department store, 1745 Easton Road, for a report of retail theft. Investigation determined that Elizabeth Ewald, 20, of Philadelphia, had removed and concealed two video games valued at $58.28. She was issued a summary citation for retail theft and released.
