Preliminary Hearing For Chalfont Cop Set for September 6

Jon Cousin, 30, of Chalfont, remains incarcerated at Bucks County Prison. He faces numerous misdemeanor charges in connection with faking a shooting on Monday.

Jon M. Cousin, 30, of Chalfont, the officer , will head to a preliminary hearing in Bucks County on September 6.

According to Bucks County Department of Corrections, Cousin remains in jail as of Wednesday in lieu of 10 percent of $150,000 bail.

Cousin is charged with the following misdemeanors:

  • False Alarm to an Agency of Public Safety
  • Two counts of Possessing an Instrument of Crime with Intent
  • False Reports Where the Offense Did Not Occur
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person
  • Disorderly Conduct

Cousin will face a preliminary hearing before District Judge William Benz in Richboro, PA at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6, according to court records.

Wow only misdemeanors??? Good thing he didn't have marijuana, then he'd be sure to get a felony. Another example of the joke that our system is. Thanks for wasting our time and resources dude.

@Wolfhound...it's "you're" fired, not *your* ...and what about invoking the racist stereotype of the black thug evildoers? Anybody remember what Charles Stuart alleged before his header off Tobin Bridge, or who Susan Smith blamed?

@P.A.M. I am sure you knew what I was trying to say. But thanks for the spell check. Not sure where you are heading with the evildoers stuff. I just think anyone that messed up like this young man did. Then I say again. They should be fired. The End.
