Police: Trio Stole Goods Worth $175,000 in Daytime Burglaries

Months-long investigation by eight Central Bucks police forces ends with arrest of three suspects, including a Doylestown woman.

For months, a rash of burglaries plagued Central Bucks County, from Doylestown down through Warminster.

Thieves would knock on front doors to see if people were home. If no one answered, they would go around the back and break in through the rear.

On Wednesday, police announced they have traced at least 12 of those daytime burglaries to three suspects.

A Doylestown woman and two Jamison men have been arrested and charged with several counts of burglary and related offenses. The arrests came after what Warminster police said was a months-long, coordinated investigation involving eight Central Bucks police forces.

William Bainger, 22, and Brandon Bainger, 20, both of the 1900 block of Sunrise Way in Jamison, and Rachel Venettone, 23, of the 200 block of North West Street in Doylestown, are suspected of committing at least 12 residential daytime burglaries throughout Central Bucks County, police said Wednesday.

The trio would force open the homes' back doors to steal gold and silver jewelry and electronics, the police said. The stolen good were then sold at various cash for gold stores in Bucks and Montgomery counties, they said.

Police also believe the three are responsible for about $7,000 worth of damage to the burglarized homes.

Warminster police credited the Ivyland Boro Police, Doylestown Boro Police, Doylestown Township Police, Northampton Police, Buckingham Police, Newtown Township Police and Plumstead Police for their assistance in the arrests.

William Bainger was charged with nine counts of burglary, conspiracy and related offenses. Brandon Bainger was charged with three counts of burglary, conspiracy and related offenses. Rachel Venettone was charged with one count of burglary, conspiracy and related offenses.

All three also were charged with numerous counts of receiving stolen property.

They were arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Jean Seaman. According to the statement from the police, both William and Brandon Bainger were held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. Venettone was released on $150,000 unsecured bail.
