Reported Child Luring Incident Was Misunderstanding, Police Say

The stranger that reportedly approached a Central Bucks middle school student Friday morning was actually a delivery driver, Buckingham Township police said.

The stranger that reportedly approached a Central Bucks middle school student Friday morning was actually a delivery driver, Buckingham Township police said.

An email sent out to parents by Central Bucks School District officials warned parents that a female student from Holicong Middle School was approached by a man as she waited for the bus.

“There was not an attempted kidnapping,” said John Bailey of the Buckingham Township Police Department. Bailey said police did investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle, which turned out “actually was not suspicious at all.”

Police confirmed it was a delivery driver.

“It was just an honest mistake,” Bailey said.
