Police Respond to a Residential Burglary in Process
On Jan. 5 at 1:10 p.m., the department responded to the 600 block of North Shady Retreat Rd., after a call about a residential burglary in progress. After investigating, police determined that a white male in his 20s, who was dressed in dark clothing, had shattered a rear window on the home and was attempting to enter the home when the homeowner discovered the entry.
The subject was last seen running toward Limekiln Road from North Shady Retreat Road. The department was assisted by surrounding police department's as well as a canine dog unit from Warminster Police Department with no further contact with the suspect. One Charged with DUI after Car Accident
On Jan. 4, at 10 p.m., the police department investigated a two vehicle accident on Route 611 at the Barn Plaza Shopping Center. The investigation determined that 50-year-old Christine Akey of Warminster, Pa., smelled of alcohol. After she failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests, Akey was placed under arrest. She provided blood samples for testing.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/control substance and was filed before District Judge Mark Couple on Thursday, Jan. 5.
