Police Report Theft and Criminal Mischief in Doylestown

Someone broke into the Gold Exchange, and graffiti was spray-painted in several places.

Burglary

Someone broke into the Doylestown Gold Exchange and stole an unknown number of jewelry pieces from two display cases on Friday, Aug. 31 at approximately 1:34 a.m.

Video surveillance shows a male wearing a hoodie over his head, a bandana over his face, and gloves on his hands prying open the front door with a crowbar. The male then uses the crowbar to break the display cases.

The value of the missing items is unknown at this time.

Theft

A resident of the tens block of Mercer Avenue reported that someone removed several pieces of lumber and a box containing various gardening tools from the rear of his yard sometime between 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22 and 7:56 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

The lumber is described as 12’ sections of 4X4 planks, valued at approximately $150.

Theft

Two political signs were stolen from the front yard of a residence on the 100 block of Spruce Street sometime between 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28 and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

The signs are valued at approximately $40.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle traveling on West Street in the area of Doyle Elementary School was egged by a passing vehicle on Sunday, Aug. 26 at about 5:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief

An exterior light lens and bulb were damaged and a planter was overturned on the front step to a residence on the tens block of Pearl Drive.

The incident was reported on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at about 4:45 p.m.

Graffiti was spray-painted on the outside windows of the “Organizing for America” headquarters sometime between 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26 and 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27.

Graffiti was written in red spray paint.

A representative from Fred Beans Parts reported that someone spray-painted two box trucks and a trailer that were parked at the loading dock between 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

The graffiti was done in pink and black spray paint.

Criminal Mischief

A representative from the reported that someone spray-painted graffiti on the retaining wall along Ashland Street sometime during the overnight hours of Wednesday, Aug. 29 into Thursday, Aug. 30.

The graffiti was written in black paint.

Criminal Mischief

Graffiti was discovered on the rear wall of Logan Auto Body on Friday, Aug. 31 at approximately midnight.

Graffiti was written in black and red spray paint.
