One Dead in Late-Night Crash in Buckingham

Township police said the cause of the accident still is under investigation.

One man is dead after a car crash in Buckingham early Friday morning.

Douglas Lee Gober II, 21, died in the single car crash that happened shortly after midnight, Buckingham police said Friday morning.

The crash occurred Friday around 12:13 a.m., police said. Gober was alone, driving his Jeep Wrangler on Fox Valley Drive when he struck a tree, police said. The crash occurred in the 5700 block of Fox Valley Drive, near Peddler's Village.

Police said Gober lived in the 5800 block of Valley Stream Drive, Lahaska, which intersects Fox Valley near the site of the crash. Gober graduated from in 2009.

Police still are investigating the cause of the crash.
