Dale Wakefield, the man charged with a fatal stabbing in Doylestown Borough, is scheduled to appear in court Monday for a preliminary hearing.
Wakefield, who is facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the July 3 incident, is scheduled for his preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Mark D. Douple.
Wakefield was reportedly out celebrating his 21st birthday before allegedly attacking George Mohr, who passed away three days later at Temple University Hospital. Wakefield reportedly fled to Baltimore after the attack.
Mohr, 71, was found by a passing motorist, who called Borough Police to report that a struck pedestrian was lying in the street. When police arrived, they found the injured man and discovered the stab wounds.
