Man Charged with DUI After Coming to Police Station Drunk

Plus, police are searching for a woman who they say stole three bottles of vodka from the state store.

A Doylestown man has been charged with driving under the influence after police said he came to the police station to pick up a friend who had been charged with DUI.

Dylan Gustte, 19, Sugar Hill Court, Doylestown, was arrested on Sunday, July 8 at about 5:50 a.m., Doylestown Borough police said Wednesday.

Gustte was "in an intoxicated state" when he arrived at the police station after being called to pick up a friend who had been arrested earlier for driving under the influence, police said.

Gustte was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Drug violation charges also are pending against Gustte after officers found suspected marijuana, a pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana, and a grinder in Gustte’s vehicle, police said.

In addition, several empty packets of suspected heroin were found in Gustte’s wallet, according to police reports.

 

Here are the other incidents reported in this week's roundup of police incidents in Doylestown Borough:

Theft

A representative from the Wine and Spirits Shoppe reported that three bottles of vodka were stolen from the store on Friday, July 6 between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM.

Video surveillance shows a woman placing three bottles into a large shoulder bag but never approaching the registers. The woman is described as being approximately 30-35 years old with long brown hair pulled up, wearing a long brown dress.

The missing items were Ciroc peach vodka, Absolut mandarin vodka, and Absolut citron vodka. The items are valued at $72.97.

Drug Violations

A 16-year old male, Doylestown, was arrested on Friday, July 6 at approximately 8:13 PM after he was found to possess two small bags of suspected marijuana and a pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana.

The incident occurred at the abandoned miniature golf course on S. Clinton Street, where the male and another juvenile male were observed during routine patrol. The officer noted the smell of burnt marijuana when he stopped to speak with the males.

Assault

Christopher Buchanan, 22, Branch Road, Pipersville, and Dalton Kirkman, 21, Old Easton Road, Doylestown, were arrested on Saturday, July 7 at approximately 2:18 AM after they were observed striking two individuals outside the Steak and Hoagie Factory.

Both males are also charged with harassment and public drunkenness. Buchanan is also charged with flight to avoid apprehension after he allegedly ran from the scene when police arrived.

Driving Under the Influence

Susan Stoneback, 33, Fairmont Drive, Jamison, was arrested on Saturday, July 7 at approximately 11:56 PM after she was stopped for driving her vehicle the wrong way on E. State Street, a one-way street.

During the traffic stop, Stoneback was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Stoneback was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Theft

A purse was stolen from the rear seat of an unsecured vehicle parked on Lantern Drive sometime between 12:00 AM and 2:39 AM on Sunday, July 8.

The purse contained credit cards, identification, keys, approximately $100, and a cell phone.

Driving Under the Influence

Sean Tyler, 19, Fell Road, Doylestown, was arrested on Sunday, July 8 at approximately 4:15 AM after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for an expired registration in the Wawa parking lot.

During the traffic stop, Tyler was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Tyler was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Drug violation charges are pending against Tyler after a small amount of suspected marijuana was observed in the center console of his vehicle.

Driving Under the Influence

Amy Ginaldi, 43, Andover Road, Fairless Hills, was arrested on Sunday, July 8 at approximately 11:43 PM after she was stopped for driving her vehicle with a flat tire on East Street in the area of Court Street.

During the traffic stop, Ginaldi was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Ginaldi was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Theft

A resident of Edison Lane reported that someone removed a GPS unit with accessories and a pair of sunglasses from his vehicle sometime during the overnight hours of Saturday, July 7 into Sunday, July 8.

The missing items were valued at approximately $350.

Criminal Mischief

A representative from Genevieve’s Paninis reported graffiti to her business sometime over the July 7 weekend.

Several other businesses on the tens block of East and West State Streets also had various tags painted on their exteriors.

Graffiti was written in black spray paint.

Driving Under the Influence

Alicia Briggs, 35, Stonegate Village, Quakertown, was arrested on Monday, July 9 at approximately 10:09 PM after she was stopped for driving her vehicle with high beams illuminated on the 200 block of West Street.

During the traffic stop, Briggs was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Briggs was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Criminal Mischief

A representative from Central Bucks High School West reported that someone had painted graffiti in a mechanical room located in the basement of the school.

The graffiti was written in red, blue, and orange paint.

The incident was reported on Wednesday, July 11 at approximately 8:26 AM.

Burglary

Approximately $300 was stolen from a safe at the Liberty Station on N. Main Street sometime between 9:00 PM on Wednesday, July 11 and 6:36 AM on Thursday, July 12.

The front door of the business had been pried open, and the front window was shattered. In addition, phone lines to the business were cut.

 

Disorderly Conduct

A 15-year old male, Doylestown, was cited on Friday, July 13 at approximately 8:47 PM after he allegedly threw a carton of milk out a second floor window of a N. Main Street apartment.

The carton did not strike anyone, but the contents did splatter on passing pedestrians.

Driving Under the Influence

Broadus Graves, 46, State Street, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, July 14 at approximately 10:49 PM after he was stopped for driving his vehicle with an expired registration sticker.

During the traffic stop, Graves was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which were marginal.

Graves was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Theft

A portable sign was removed from the Freight House parking lot on Saturday, July 14 sometime between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

The sign is approximately 48” X 36” and has a blackboard finish with the restaurant’s name on it.

The sign is valued at approximately $700.

Public Drunkenness

Sean Hutchinson, 23, Kemper Drive, Warminster, was cited on Sunday, July 15 at approximately 1:19 AM after he allegedly created a disturbance and fought with employees of Stephanie’s.

Public Drunkenness

Francis Lamina, 30, Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown, was cited on Sunday, July 15 at approximately 6:35 AM after he was observed sleeping in a field on Broad Street in the area of Lantern Drive.

Criminal Mischief

Three mailboxes on the 800 block of Broad Street were damaged during the overnight hours of Saturday, July 14 into Sunday, July 15.

One mailbox was dislodged from its base; the other two mailboxes were dented.
