Local Police Departments Participating in Drug Take Back Event Saturday

Several local police departments are participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration's upcoming Drug Take Back Day this Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can drop off unwanted prescription medications for safe disposal at various locations.

  • Doylestown Borough Police Department; drop off at CVS, 160 S. Main St., Doylestown
  • New Britain Police Department; drop off at CVS, 1456 Ferry Rd., Doylestown
  • Doylestown Township Police Department; drop off at Redner's Market, 1661 Easton Rd, Warrington
  • Warrington Township Police Department; drop off at police station, 852 Easton Rd, Warrington
  • Plumstead Township Police Department; drop off at Kmart, 4377 Swamp Rd, Doylestown
  • Buckingham Township Police Department; drop off at police station, 4613 Hughesian Dr.
  • Solebury Township Police Department, drop off at Giant, 6542 E Logan Sq, New Hope

"The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications," the DEA website states.
