Doylestown Train Service Restored After Fatal Crash

Train service to Doylestown was had been delayed after a pedestrian was struck and killed at the Lansdale station Friday morning.

The SEPTA train route to Doylestown was temporarily halted and then delayed for much of Friday morning after a pedestrian died at a Montgomery County station on the route.

The man was killed after being struck by a train near the Pennbrook station in Lansdale. Police Friday afternoon .

Lansdale Police Chief Robert McDyre said the victim, a white male in his 50s, was struck by a southbound train on the tracks between the station and Line Street at about 7:43 a.m.

A SEPTA spokeswoman said Friday afternoon that the train line to Doylestown had returned to its normal operating schedule by about 11 a.m.

The Pennbrook station is at 1202 Pennbrook Parkway & Church Road,
Lansdale.
