iPhone Stolen at Doylestown Restaurant and CDs Stolen from Unlocked Car

Plus, five people were charged with drinking and driving in this week's roundup of incidents reported to Doylestown Borough police.

Theft

A backpack containing school papers and library books and a storage case containing approximately 100 CDs were taken from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in a driveway on Mary Street.

The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Driving Under the Influence

Christopher Carter, 42, Tall Oak Court, Doylestown, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 20 at approximately 1:13 a.m. after he was allegedly observed not coming to a complete stop at the intersection of Union Street and Harvey Avenue.

During the traffic stop, Carter was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Carter was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Driving Under the influence

Corey Staley, 25, County Line Road, Hatboro, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 21 at approximately 1:46 a.m. when he was observed driving his vehicle on Main Street in the area of State Street after he had previously been involved in a disturbance and warned not to operate his vehicle.

During the traffic stop, Staley was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Staley was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Driving Under the Influence

Lansing Fernandes, 58, Taifer Avenue, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 21 at approximately 6:03 p.m. after his vehicle was involved in an accident on Swamp Road in the area of Chubb Drive.

During the accident investigation, Fernandes was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Fernandes was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Theft

An employee of the Restaurant reported that her cell phone was stolen from her coat, which was hanging in the coat room.

The theft occurred on Saturday, Jan. 21 between 2:40 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The cell phone is described as a black iPhone 4G.

Disorderly Conduct

J. David Manni, 38, Main Street, Doylestown, was cited on Sunday, Jan. 22 at approximately 1:02 a.m. after he was allegedly observed urinating in the parking lot of a South Main Street salon.

Driving Under the Influence

Matthew Moran, 25, Cedar Drive, New Britain, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 22 at approximately 2:37 a.m. after he was stopped for driving a vehicle without the taillights being illuminated.

During the traffic stop, Moran was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Moran was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

Driving Under the Influence

Peter McKinstry, 52, Mechanic Street, Doylestown, was arrested on Sunday, January 22 at approximately 5:42 p.m. after he was allegedly observed urinating in Doylestown Borough’s Public Works yard and then attempting to leave the area.

During the investigation, McKinstry was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform a field sobriety test, which he failed.

McKinstry was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

McKinstry is also charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Liquor Laws

Four juveniles were cited on Sunday, Jan. 22 at approximately 9:30 p.m. after officers received a complaint of loud music and banging on the walls of an apartment on the 100 block of Harvey Avenue.

Additional charges are pending, as officers also discovered drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Ordinance Violation

Raymond Connor, 49, Mulberry Avenue, Trevose, was cited on Monday, January 23 at approximately 3:17 p.m. for allegedly soliciting without a permit on Hillside Avenue.
