Hilltown Township Instructor Among Two Injured in Tandem Skydiving Accident

Obataiye Samuel, 37, of Philadelphia, and Robert Mandic, 41, of Hilltown Township were injured, according to police.

A Hilltown Township skydiving instructor and a Philadelphia man have been identified as the injured in Tuesday’s skydiving accident in Perkasie, police announced.

Obataiye Samuel, 37, of Philadelphia, and Robert Mandic, 41, of Hilltown Township were injured, according to police.

Mandic, an instructor with Skydive Philadelphia, was flown to Temple University Hospital, where he underwent surgery for two fractured ankles, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. Mandic was listed in fair condition Wednesday, the publication reported.

Samuel was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Both men were conscious and verbal immediately following the accident, according to The Reporter.

The accident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
