Cash stolen from an unlocked car and one charged with DUI.
Driving Under Influence of Alcohol
On Aug. 21 at 2:05 a.m., a vehicle was observed swerving on Route 611 swerving. The driver, Travis Poston, 21, of Ambler, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.
He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests, was arrested and provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Monday, Aug. 22.
Theft from Unlocked Vehicles
On Sunday, Aug. 21, the department investigated a theft reported from a vehicle parked in 1-digit block of Leapson Lane. A small amount of cash was stolen from the unlocked vehicle.
