A $4.88 theft, super speeding on Rt. 611, and a home break-in in this week's police news.

Retail Theft

On June 25 at 3:35 p.m., the department was called to Redner’s Market, 1661 Easton Road, Doylestown Pointe Plaza, for a report of retail theft.

Investigation determined that Melissa F Ozdonski, 33, of Doylestown, had removed two items from the shelf, which are valued at $4.88. 

The above charge was filed before District Judge Mark Douple on June 25.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charge

On June 26 at 7:40 p.m., a vehicle was observed traveling at 91 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour speed zone on the Route 611 Bypass.

The driver, Corey Staley, 24, of Hatboro, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him. He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and provided blood samples for testing.

The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on June 27.

Residential Burglary

On June 27, unknown subject(s) entered a home in the 100 block of Woodview Drive by forcing a rear window.

Credit cards and a small amount of cash were stolen.
