Doylestown Township Police Blotter
Someone broke into Sleepy's in the Barn Plaza, then broke through the internal wall to the neighboring Rite Aid.
Two Commercial Burglaries
On May 18 at 7:30 am, the department responded to two stores in the Barn Plaza Shopping Center, 1745 South Easton Road.
Investigation determined that Sleepy's Mattress (doing business as 1800mattress.com) was forcibly entered during the early morning hours and the perpetrators forced their way through the wall into the adjoining Rite Aid Pharmacy to steal a large quantity of drugs.
Driving Under Influence of Alcohol
On May 15 at 5:30 pm, a vehicle was observed traveling on Route 611 swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Lauren Gaffney, 21, of Plumstead, had slurred speech and unsteady balance.

She failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest. She provided blood and urine samples for testing. The above charge was filed before District Judge Mark Douple on May 18.
North Star Pressure Washer Found
On May 18, a North Star gas-powered power washer was recovered on Lower State Road near Memorial Drive. Police believe it may have fallen off the back of a vehicle. The owner can contact the Doylestown Township Police at 215-348-4201 to describe and recover the item.
