Doylestown Township Police Blotter

A New Britain Twp. man is accused of stealing a riding mower worth nearly $12,000, this week.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charge

On April 30 at 1:05 a.m., a vehicle was observed traveling on Route 611 Bypass swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Alycia Dennison, 34, of Doylestown, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about her.

She failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. She was placed arrested and provided blood samples for testing.

The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on May 2.

Theft and Receiving Stolen Property

On May 6 at 7:30 am, the department responded to Charter Oak Ct. for the reported theft of jewelry - a watch, rings and bracelet valued at $3,200.

Investigation determined that Rachel Mersky, 21, of Doylestown, had stolen the jewelry.

She was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Mark Douple on the above charges. Bail was set at $100,000 unsecured bail.

Theft and Receiving Stolen Property

On May 5 at 11:55 a.m., the department responded to the 400 block of Pine Run Road for the reported theft of a X-Mark "Lazer-z" riding lawn mower valued at $11,800.

Investigation determined that Axel Schreiner, 63, of Ferry Road, New Britain Township, had stolen the mower, which was recovered.

He was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Charles Baum on the above charges. Bail was set at $15,000 or 10%. He was lodged in the in lieu of bail.

Retail Theft

On May 5 at 3:45 p.m., the department was called to Redner’s Market, 1661 Easton Road, Doylestown Pointe Plaza, for a report of retail theft.

Investigation determined that Karen Mattero, 62, of Doylestown, had removed three items valued at $16.33.

She was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Charles Baum on the above charges. Bail was set at $10,000 or 10%. She was lodged in the in lieu of bail.
