Doylestown Borough officials on Monday night gave a rousing farewell to a member of the borough's police force.
Sgt. John Gerhart is retiring after being on the force since 1973, Police Chief Jim Donnelly said.
Supporters packed the council chambers to see Doylestown Mayor Libby White and Donnelly praise Gerhart's decades of service.
