Doylestown Police Searching for Two in Connection with Burglaries

They hope a photo taken from a surveillance camera can help lead to more information about a string of burglaries around Doylestown.

Doylestown police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men they want to talk to in connection with a series of recent break-ins around town.

The two men were spotted recently at a beer distributor in Quakertown, using a credit card stolen in a burglary in Doylestown, police said.

"The pictures are so clear, we want everyone in the community to look at the photographs and identify who these two individuals are," Doylestown Township Police Chief Stephen White said. "Because we think there's a strong possibility that they were involved in the burglaries or profited from them by using the stolen goods."

The burglaries started at the end of July at the Farm Office Complex in Doylestown Township, and continued right up until this week, Doylestown Borough Police Chief Jim Donnelly said.

“There are 14 burglaries that we can account for right now in the township and the borough, that we decided is all the same guy doing it," Donnelly said.

At first, police suspected an employee of one of the businesses had left the window open on purpose to facilitate the break-in, Donelly said. But as the number of break-ins mounted, that theory went out the window.

“There were just too many. He can’t be employed at all these places,” Donnelly said.
