An iPhone is stolen at a car wash and a man is found sleeping next to a gas pump in this week's police log from Doylestown Borough.

Theft

A 25-year-old man of Lower York Road, New Hope, was arrested on Tuesday, September 11 at approximately 11:47 AM after he allegedly removed an iPhone from a vehicle that he was assisting in detailing at Jiffy Car Wash.

Two iPods and a Droid cell phone were also recovered during the investigation.

Public Drunkenness

A 23-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on Thursday, September 6 at approximately 5:12 PM after officers received the report of an intoxicated male staggering in and out of traffic on Swamp Road in the area of North Street.

He was found to possess several syringes and could face charges for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Driving Under the influence

A 22-year-old man of Route 313, Perkasie, was arrested on Friday, September 7 at approximately 11:33 PM after he was observed driving his vehicle erratically on N. Main Street in the area of Broad Street. 

During the traffic stop, he was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

He was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests.

His passenger, a 21-year-old man of Wenger Avenue, Silverdale, was arrested for drug violations after he was found in possession of a small wax packet and baggie allegedly used for packaging heroin.

Driving Under the Influence

A 46-year-old man of Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, September 8 at approximately 3:04 PM after he was involved in a traffic accident on Main Street in the area of Broad Street.

During the accident investigation, he was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

He was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests. 

Driving Under the Influence

A 23-year-old woman of Elroy Road, Hatfield, was arrested on Sunday, September 9 at approximately 2:18 AM after she was stopped for driving her vehicle without the headlights illuminated.

During the traffic stop, she was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed. 

She was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood tests. 

Public Drunkenness

A 26-year-old man of Bosworth Avenue, Chicago, IL, was cited on Sunday, September 9 at approximately 2:50 AM after he was observed sleeping next to a gas pump at the Shell Station. 

Burglary

A resident of Trellis Path reported that someone entered her home and attempted to open a locked cabinet containing jewelry.

The incident occurred sometime between Saturday, September 1 and Monday, September 10.

There were no signs of forced entry into the home. The cabinet drawer was damaged, but the lock was not defeated, and no items were reported missing.

Disorderly Conduct

A 22-year-old man of Woodlawn Avenue, Horsham was cited on Tuesday, September 11 at approximately 1:09 AM after he allegedly engaged in a physical altercation in front of Finney’s Royal Grotto.

A 20-year-old man of Pueblo Road, New Britain, was cited for underage consumption of alcohol during his involvement in this incident.
