Doylestown Man Charged with Armed Robbery

Tyrone Freeman-Jones remained in the Bucks County prison Friday on several charges.

A Doylestown man was in the Bucks Country prison Friday after police say he robbed another young person of an iPhone this week.

Tyrone Freeman-Jones, 18, of Court Street, Doylestown, faces numerous charges including robbery, terroristic threats, receiving stolen property and carrying a firearm without a license. He was in the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Police said he threatened a juvenile male with a gun in Printers Alley, off of East Court Street, on Friday, Nov. 11 around 4:40 p.m. According to police reports, Freeman-Jones forced the juvenile to give him his iPhone.

He was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at about 7 p.m.

The handgun police believe he used in the robbery was found the next day, on Wednesday, Nov. 16, amongst his belongings at his place of employment, police said Friday.

The gun had been reported stolen in Tinicum Township, police said, so charges of receiving stolen property were added to the host of charges the man already faced.

Freeman-Jones was arraigned before District Justice Nasshorn and send to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Freeman-Jones already stemming from an incident on October 10 at about 4:44 p.m., when police say he created a disturbance by screaming obscenities on E. State Street.

Driving Under the Influence

Susan Armstrong, 51, Sunset View Drive, Doylestown, was arrested on Friday, November 4 at approximately 10:40 AM after the vehicle she was driving allegedly struck a stop sign at the intersection of Broad Street and Atkinson Drive, then continued to the Doylestown Shopping Center, where she allegedly struck two parked vehicles.

During the accident investigation, Armstrong was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Armstrong was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.

Liquor Laws

A 16-year old student of Central Bucks East High School was cited on Friday, November 4 at approximately 8:30 PM after he allegedly created a disturbance at a football game at War Memorial Field.

Theft

A representative from Salem United Church of Christ reported that several items were removed from Christmas Bazaar displays sometime between 3:15 PM on Friday, November 4 and 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 5.

No value for the missing items has been provided.

Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

Chino Young, 19, State Street, Doylestown, was arrested on Monday, November 7 at approximately 8:06 AM after he allegedly took his grandmother’s vehicle without her permission.

Theft

A resident of Regency Woods reported that someone removed a bicycle from her porch area sometime during the week of October 31.

The bicycle is described as a green Huffy brand valued at approximately $200.

Driving Under the Influence

Michele Milillo, 37, Summer Meadow Drive, Doylestown, was arrested on Friday, November 11 at approximately 1:11 AM after an officer observed the vehicle she was driving drift outside of the travel lanes and strike the curb on N. Main Street in the area of Broad Street and Spruce Street.

During the traffic stop, Milillo was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Milillo was transported to Doylestown hospital for blood tests.

Driving Under the Influence

Shannon Omara-Laird, 30, Edison Road, Doylestown, was arrested on Saturday, November 12 at approximately 3:53 AM after the vehicle she was driving allegedly struck a parked vehicle on Donaldson Street in the area of Ashland Street.

During the accident investigation, Omara-Laird was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Omara-Laird was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.

Liquor Laws

Citations have been filed against Kathleen Greco, 20, Narothyn Road, Sellersville, for allegedly presenting fake identification to attempt to gain entry into a S. Main Street bar.

The incident occurred on Sunday, November 13 at approximately 1:30 AM.

Theft

A resident of the 100 block of N. Clinton Street reported that someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked in his driveway and removed an undetermined amount of change and a silver necklace.

The theft occurred sometime between 11:00 PM on Saturday, November 12 and 8:20 AM on Sunday, November 13.

Theft

A resident of the 100 block of N. Clinton Street reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed an iPod valued at approximately $80.00.

The theft occurred sometime between 7:30 PM on Saturday, November 12 and 10:23 AM on Sunday, November 13.

Driving Under the influence

Jennifer Estes, 40, Windey Way Lane, Doylestown, was arrested on Monday, November 14 at approximately 12:51 AM after she was observed driving her vehicle above the posted speed limit on State Street in the area of Boro Mill Hill Road.

During the traffic stop, Estes was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Estes was transported to Doylestown hospital for blood tests.

Criminal Mischief

A resident of the tens block of S. Clinton Street reported that someone damaged her vehicle sometime during the overnight hours of Sunday, November 13 into Monday, November 14.

A large dent was observed on the driver’s side front fender of the vehicle.

Driving Under the influence

Andrew Brown, 26, Lake Warren Road, Upper Black Eddy, was arrested on Wednesday, November 16 at approximately 12:26 AM after he was observed driving his vehicle above the posted speed limit on N. Main Street in the area of East Street.

During the traffic stop, he was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Brown was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood tests.

Drug Violations

Brennan Dougherty, 22, Butler Avenue, Doylestown, was arrested on Thursday, November 17 at approximately 2:22 AM after he was found to possess a small amount of marijuana and a ceramic pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana.

Dougherty was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a faulty brake light.
