Doylestown Man Charged in Jewelry Store Burglary

Police say two men may have been involved in several area jewelry store burglaries.

Two men have been charged in connection with a jewelry store burglary in Horsham, and police believe they may be involved in other area store burglaries.

Ryan Wiley, 23, of June Meadow Dr., Doylestown and Phillip A. Prokop, 38, of Avenel Blvd., North Wales, were arrested on Monday.

They have been charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy stemming from the Oct. 17 early morning  at the English Village Shopping Center in Horsham.

Horsham Police said Wiley and Prokop were identified as suspects after they attempted to sell "large quantities of jewelry" to a local pawn shop.

Prior to the arrest, authorities had said they believed the suspects also may have committed similar jewelry store burglaries in Newtown Township in Bucks County, as well as in Montgomery Township at a Costco.

At this time, Wiley and Prokop have only been charged with the Horsham store burglary, police said.
