Doylestown Borough Police Log

A spate of recent graffiti painting hit town.

Theft

Stefanie Belding, 19, Fox Hound Drive, Doylestown, and Caroline Muller, 20, Boxwood Circle, Doylestown, were arrested on Wednesday, July 6 at approximately 3:18 p.m. for allegedly stealing in excess of $1,000 of merchandise and gift cards from Bon-Ton, where they were employed.

Counterfeit

A representative from Rite Aid reported that someone presented a suspected counterfeit $10 bill for payment sometime on Thursday, June 30.

Criminal Mischief

Graffiti was discovered on a utility box at the rear of Acme Markets on Thursday, June 30 at approximately 1:47 p.m.

The graffiti was written in white marker.

Criminal Mischief

A Bucks County Courthouse security officer reported that graffiti was spray-painted on the rear wall of Domestic Relations sometime between 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 30 and 9:30 AM on Friday, July 1.

The graffiti was written in green spray paint.

Criminal Mischief

The borough has suffered from a recent spate of graffiti painting, including the following incidents:

Graffiti was observed on three businesses on the 100 block of S. Clinton Street on Sunday, July 3 at approximately 12:48 PM.

Orthodontic Specialists had graffiti spray-painted on the exterior walls, trash cans, rocks, and retaining wall. Graffiti was painted in white and black spray paint.

A trailer, a forklift, a utility box, a utility pole, and a sign on the SEPTA train station property had graffiti spray-painted in black.

The rear wall and door of Moyer and Sons had graffiti spray-painted in red, black, and white.

Benches, picnic tables, and the children’s play set at Maplewood Park had graffiti spray-painted on them over the July 1st weekend. Graffiti was done in blue spray paint.

Blue marker was used to write graffiti on the windows of Orthodontic Specialists sometime during the overnight hours of Wednesday, July 6 into Thursday, July 7.

Criminal Mischief

Aaron Rigg, 28, Chubb Drive, Doylestown, was cited on Friday, July 1 at approximately 11:59 PM for allegedly spray-painting a white box truck that was parked on W. State Street in the area of the Doylestown Inn.

Rigg allegedly spray-painted graffiti on two businesses on the 100 block of W. State Street also.

Disorderly Conduct

Joseph Bannon, 25, Monarch Court, Chalfont, and John Goodenough, 26, Spruce Hill Road, Ottsville, were cited on Saturday, July 2 at approximately 1:25 AM after an officer observed them creating a disturbance outside a S. Main Street bar.

Theft

A purse was stolen from a S. Main Street bar sometime between 12:15 AM and 1:45 AM on Saturday, July 2.

The victim reported that she left the purse unattended while she danced on the dance floor.

The purse is described as a small, brown, leather handbag containing the victim’s cell phone, identification, debit card, and approximately $27 cash.

Public Drunkenness

Jonathon Menzen, 25, Village Green Lane, Dublin, was cited on Saturday, July 2 at approximately 1:48 AM after an officer observed him sleeping in a W. Court Street parking lot.

Public Drunkenness

James Goodenough, 23, Spruce Hill Road, Ottsville, was cited on Saturday, July 2 at approximately 4:45 AM after officers received the report of an intoxicated male banging on the front door of a S. Clinton Street residence.

Goodenough also was cited for disorderly conduct.

Assault

Charges have been filed against Breane Bingham, 24, Main Street, Doylestown, for allegedly punching the face and scratching the neck of an acquaintance at her residence on Tuesday, July 5 at approximately 11:46 PM.

The victim suffered a swollen lip and scratches on her neck.
