Cops Bust Up Underage Drinking

More than 20 young people were cited for underage drinking early Friday morning.

Doylestown Borough Police said Friday they have cited 25 people for underage drinking after responding to a call early that morning.

Police were called out to the area of Sandy Ridge and Stacy drives around 12:26 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, they said. The call was for "two suspicious subjects walking" in the area, according to police reports.

That call ended with citations for underage drinking against 25 individuals between the ages of 18 and 20, police said.

Weapons Violation

Charges have been filed against two male students, age 16 and 17, at for allegedly possessing an air pellet gun on school grounds on Wednesday, February 1.

Witnesses reported that the students were observed handling the gun, which resembled a black handgun, while driving in a vehicle on MacFarlane Lane.

Threats

Charges are pending against a 14-year old male student at who allegedly indicated he had a gun in his locker and threatened to shoot and stab three students.

The threat was allegedly made during a lunch period on Monday, February 6.

No weapons were found in the student’s possession.

Assault

Charges have been filed against Michael Langer, 23, Tollgate Road, New Hope, for allegedly striking a male repeatedly in the face following a verbal dispute with another acquaintance.

The victim sustained a broken nose and was treated at Doylestown Hospital.

Langer is also charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for allegedly kicking the vehicle that the victim was driving.

Theft

A student at Central Bucks High School West reported that someone stole a pair of Dre Beats headphones from his backpack, which was in the upper level gym room on Wednesday, January 18 between 8:45 AM and 10:15 AM.

The headphones are white in color with red wires and are valued at approximately $100.

Criminal Mischief

A hood emblem and registration sticker were removed from a vehicle parked at the on Thursday, February 2 between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Theft

A canvas gym bag containing clothing and personal care items was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked in the employee lot of Heritage Towers on Thursday, February 2.

Driving Under the Influence

Bethany Peterman, 37, Kelly Road, Warrington, was arrested on Friday, February 3 at approximately 1:13 AM after officers received the report of an intoxicated female attempting to leave a Main Street convenience store.

During the investigation, Peterman was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Peterman was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Disorderly Conduct

Eric Forsberg, 31, Sugarbottom Road, Furlong, was cited on Saturday, February 4 at approximately 12:27 AM after he was observed urinating next to a vehicle parked in the area of Clinton and Ashland Streets.

Driving Under the Influence

Jesse Deighan, 31, Peace Valley Road, Chalfont, was arrested on Saturday, February 4 at approximately 2:34 AM after his vehicle was stopped for failing to make a complete stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Union and Broad Streets.

During the traffic stop, Deighan was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Deighan was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Driving Under the Influence

Catherine Libman, 24, Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested on Sunday, February 5 at approximately 2:03 AM after her vehicle was stopped for traveling the wrong way on State Street, a one-way street.

During the traffic stop, Libman was noted to exhibit signs of intoxication. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Libman was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood.

Theft

A bicycle was stolen from the side of a residence on the 100 block of Lafayette Street sometime between 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 2 and 8:00 AM on Sunday, February 5.

The bicycle is described as a blue and aluminum color Trek hybrid with a black seat. The bicycle is valued at approximately $200.

Public Drunkenness

Susan Dimascio, 58, Route 202, Doylestown, was cited on Sunday, February 5 at approximately 7:11 PM after officers received the report of a female lying on the side of the road in the area of East Street and School Hill Drive.

Donna Naughton, 48, Shelter Lane, Levittown, was cited on Tuesday, February 7 at approximately 9:32 AM after Bucks County Security reported an intoxicated female in the courthouse.

Cory Almasy, 23, Hillcrest Drive, Stratford, NJ was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on Thursday, February 9 at approximately 1:32 AM after he was allegedly involved in an altercation outside a Main Street bar. 

Charges are pending against Richard Tieto, 20, Walnut Street, Waretown, NJ for his alleged involvement in the same altercation, from which he fled the scene. Those charges could include underage consumption of alcohol, misrepresentation of age to secure alcohol, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct. 

Theft

Aaron Rigg, 28, Chubb Drive, Doylestown, was arrested on Thursday, February 9 after he allegedly removed several items of clothing from without paying for the items. 

Items included two Eagles baseball caps, an Eagles t-shirt, and an Eagles sweatshirt. The items are valued at approximately $126.
