Carl J. "CJ" Polichetti III, age 47, of Bedminster, passed away suddenly on July 20, 2014; dearest son of Carl Jr. And Marion (nee: Snellbaker) Polichetti; beloved husband of Tamatha "Tami" (nee: McNabb); loving father of Tony, Samantha, Joseph, Nicholas, and the late Shawna Marie; dear brother of Jeanne-Anne Polichetti and Beverly (Brandon) Polichetti-Lehman.

From an early age, CJ had a curiosity about cooking. So much so he actually signed up for cooking classes at a nearby elementary school summer program.

This love of cooking followed him through his early years until he began his Army career as an army cook in their food service program. Upon discharge, CJ enrolled at the Restaurant School of Philadelphia, where he earned a culinary degree. Shortly after that, he found employment with the Bucks County Corrections Center, starting out using his skills in their kitchen as a food service technician. Changing positions occasionally within the institution, he remained continuously employed for nearly 20 years.

He also had a love for Scouting, ultimately resulting in his achieving the highest rank, Eagle Scout. As an adult leader, CJ was active in numerous troops, ultimately becoming a founding father and “Grubmaster” of Pennridge Troop 215. CJ was also an active leader and mentor of the Hilltown 4-H club.

As a sports fan, CJ was a former coach of the local Pop Warner Football team, the Pennridge Green Jackets for several years and, of course, was a diehard Eagles fan.  Scouting, 4H and Sports enabled him to not only spend time with his own children but also work with young boys and girls offering guidance and support whenever and wherever he was needed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by Services at 11 am., at the Angelone Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, 215-659-0202. No Interment.
