Cars Crash at Pool's Corner

Two cars crashed head on Thursday morning around 7 a.m. at Pool's Corner, the intersection of Routes 202 and 313, according to emergency reports.

Early reports indicate that two cars, and two people were involved in the crash.

Both people had to be extricated from their cars by the fire department. Both patients reportedly were taken to the trauma center at St. Mary's Medical Center.

The county's 911 dispatch center received multiple calls about the crash at the busy intersection shortly before 7 a.m.

The drivers were removed from their cars by 7:30 a.m. and were on their way to the trauma center at the hospital in Middletown.
