Building Collapse Victim Identified

A 37-year-old Philadelphia man was trapped for an hour after a building collapsed Thursday in Buckingham Township.

The construction worker injured in a building collapse Thursday in Buckingham Township has been identified, according to The Intelligencer.

The newspaper reported the victim has been identified as Edimar DeOliveira, 37, of Philadelphia. The collapse occurred Thursday morning at a building in the Heritage Center development off York Road. 

DeOliveira was trapped for an hour under the building after it collapsed. Emergency responders rescued him from the rubble and he was taken by helicopter to Temple University Hospital. He was listed in good condition as of Friday, the Intelligencer reported.

Buckingham Township Fire Marshal Jim Kettler said representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating what caused the collapse.
