Borough Police Report Thefts From Sheds

And a man tried to pass counterfeit $20s at the 7-Eleven.

Theft

A representative from Center Square Towers reported a lawn mower and four flower planters missing from a shed on the property.

The lawn mower is a Ferris walk-behind mower valued at approximately $4,500. The flower urns are valued at approximately $300.

The items were last seen in November 2011 and were noted missing on Tuesday, May 15.

There were no signs of forced entry into the shed.

Burglary

A resident of Mercer Avenue reported that someone removed numerous antiques from his detached carriage house, potting shed, and stable sometime between 5:00 AM and 4:49 PM on Thursday, May 17.

The missing items include antique wooden chairs, various wooden boxes, antique tools, and crates of clay flower pots.

The items are valued at approximately $8,562.

Drug Violations

Charges are pending against a 17-year male from Doylestown who was allegedly selling marijuana from his vehicle at the Bucks County Free Library on Friday, May 18 at approximately 9:46 PM.

The subject fled the area when County security officers approached. A backpack containing two bags of suspected marijuana, a pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana, and a digital scale were recovered at the scene. A digital scale, a glass pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana, cigarette rolling papers, and $207 were later recovered from the suspect’s vehicle.

Drug Violations

Charges have been filed against Devin Rigg, 25, Chubb Drive, Doylestown, after a family member reported that he possessed a bag containing syringes, a spoon, and bags of suspected heroin and suspected Oxycodone.

Burglary

A mirror designed from an antique wood door frame and two hand-painted light fixtures were stolen from a home on Chapman Avenue sometime between 10:45 AM on Saturday, May 19 and 3:11 PM on Sunday, May 20.

Several hand tools, sanding belts, and electric cables were removed from the basement of the property.

Entry appears to have been through a first floor window.

The mirror and light fixtures are valued at approximately $1,000.

Theft

A customer at the Wine and Spirits Shoppe on Veterans Lane reported that he inadvertently left his wallet on the trunk of his vehicle and drove off from the store on Sunday, May 20 at approximately 12:30 PM.

Realizing his mistake and attempting to close his accounts, the victim learned that his debit card had been used to make a purchase in the amount of $74.19 at Staples and a purchase in the amount of $423.70 at K-Mart.

Video surveillance of the subject making the purchases shows a male, approximately 6’ tall, medium build, ear-length brown hair with a receding hairline, last seen wearing a black t-shirt and striped Bermuda shorts.

Theft

An iPhone was stolen from the employee break room at McDonald’s on Saturday, May 19 sometime between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

The phone is valued at $381.59.

Counterfeiting

A representative from 7-11 reported that a male attempted to pass two counterfeit $20 bills on Tuesday, May 22 at approximately 1:00 AM.

The male is described as being in his late teens/early twenties, brown hair, approximately 5’6” tall.
