Borough Murder Suspect Facing New Charges After Allegedly Attacking Inmate

Dale Wakefield, the man charged with murdering an elderly man in the borough last year, allegedly stabbed an inmate in Bucks County prison in February, according to the Intelligencer.

Wakefield, 21, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault by prisoner in conjunction with the Feb. 24 attack. Authorities say he stabbed another inmate with a ballpoint pen, the publication reported.

Wakefield is already facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the July 3 stabbing that killed 71-year-old George Mohr.

Wakefield was reportedly out celebrating his 21st birthday before allegedly attacking Mohr. Wakefield fled to Baltimore after the attack.

Mohr, 71, was found by a passing motorist, who called Borough Police to report that a struck pedestrian was lying in the street. When police arrived, they found the injured man and discovered the stab wounds.
