59-Year-Old Man Sold Pot From Borough Apartment, Police Say

Wayne Walynetz, 59, has been charged with selling marijuana from his E State Street apartment.

A 59-year-old Doylestown man has been arrested for selling marijuana from his borough home, according to police.

The investigation began in September, when a Newtown Township police officer who is also a Bucks County Narcotics Officer was tipped off that Wayne Walynetz sold marijuana from his E State Street apartment, police said.

On three occasions between mid-September and Oct. 10, the officer used the confidential informant to purchase marijuana from Walynetz, according to Newtown Township police.

After each purchase, the marijuana was submitted to the Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis.

A search warrant was obtained by police and on Oct. 10, Walynetz was taken into custody after marijuana and a digital scale were found in his apartment, police said.

He has been charged with four felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of drugs with the intent to deliver. He has also been charged with three counts of criminal use of communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Walynetz was arraigned Thursday in front of District Judge Mark Douple, who set his bail at $150,000.

Editors note: an earlier version of this story incorrectly stated Walynetz's age.
