NBC10's Rosemary Connors to Speak at LVF Golf Outing

Lenape Valley Foundation will host its 5th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Doylestown Country Club.  Robert Rogala, Lenape Valley Foundation board member, of Doylestown, Pa. is the event chairperson.

Registration for the outing begins at 9:30 a.m.  An entry fee of $225 per golfer includes brunch, greens fees and cart, a cocktail reception, dinner and awards.

A highlight of the event will be a presentation by guest speaker Rosemary Connors.  Connors can be seen anchoring NBC10’s weekend morning newscasts and reporting for NBC10 News during the week.  She is a three-time Mid Atlantic Emmy Award winner.  She received her awards for her ongoing coverage of school closures in the Philadelphia School District, her lead coverage of the sex abuse scandal involving Jerry Sandusky, as well as for her role in the team coverage of the 2011 gas explosion in Northeast Philadelphia.  An active member of her community, Connors passionately promotes education and awareness of depression in teens and young adults. 

Proceeds from the outing benefit more than 30 high-quality programs offered by Lenape Valley Foundation, which has provided compassionate assistance and hope to thousands of children, adults, and families in Bucks County for over half a century. The foundation’s mission is to partner with members of our community encountering mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental challenges as they pursue their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life.
