Lenape Valley Foundation Employees Receive Awards for Service

The Montgomery County Department of Developmental Disabilities Nomination Committee named two Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) employees as award recipients at their Annual Awards Breakfast held at the Westover Country Club, Jeffersonville, PA on March 13.

Lynde Kearns, LVF Intellectual Disabilities Director, of Richboro PA, received an award in the category of Management Staff.  Ali Coppola, LVF Intellectual Disabilities Supports Coordinator, of Telford, PA, received an award in the category of Supports Coordinator.  Both women were recognized for providing exemplary supports and services and for demonstrating innovative ways to serve individuals with developmental disabilities.

LVF offers Intellectual Disability Supports Coordination Services in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.  Supports Coordination Services for intellectual disability are designed to assist individuals and their families in locating, coordinating, and monitoring services while promoting the principles of Everyday Lives.  The concept of Everyday Lives is that with the support of family and friends, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities decide how to live their lives and what supports they need.  It also means that they are responsible for their decisions and actions.
