“I am just happy to have two good meets in a row” said 12-year old Emma Mangiacapre after being named the ESGA level 9 Gymnast of the Year. The Doylestown local placed first All Around at the ESGA Championship with a combined score of 35.900. Mangiacapre placed first on the Uneven Bars (9.150) and second on Floor with a 9.250. This all comes after capturing the All Around title at the ESGA Challenge meet last month. Teammate Emma Silberman Placed third Overall with a combined score of 35.175, her best result was on Floor where she finished first with a 9.275. Gracie Busch placed second on the Uneven Bars with an 8.750.
In the 14-year-old
group for level 9 Melissa Ginaldi Placed first All Around after finishing first
in Vault (9.3), second in Uneven Bars (9.2) and second on Floor (9.175). CB Gymnasts Gina Martino, Hannah Busch and
Haley Zarett placed third, fourth and fifth in the All Around. Zarret finished first on the Floor with a
9.250. In the 15-year old group CB
swept the All Around podium. Arden
Hudson had an impressive day placing first on the Beam (9.3) and second on Floor to earn the All
Around title. Her teammates Mackenzie
Kelly and Emily Yost finished second and third respectively. 16-year old Alexandra Kothe placed first in
the Uneven Bars (9.350) and first on Floor
(9.375) in the 16-year old group.
In level 10, 17-year-old Roxanne Trachtenberg had her best meet of the year, placing first on Vault (9.375), and first overall with a combined score of 34.350. 18-year-old Rebecca McKevitt put together another solid Balance Beam routine and placed first with a 9.550. The Chalfont resident also placed first on Bars with an 8.825.
The Level Eight girls had strong individual performances at the ESGA Championship. In the 14 & under age group Gabriella Oliveiria placed 3rd on the Balance Beam with a 9.2. Lindsay Miscio was graceful in her first place beam routine, scoring a 9.35. Francesca Gilch placed 2nd in the 15 & over age group on Bars (8.60). Emily Engeland out of Yardley, PA Placed second overall in the 13 year old group with a combined score of 35.875. She placed first on beam with a 9.3 and second on bars with a 9.0.
At Level 7, Juliette Hopkins from Doylestown placed second overall in the 13-year old group with a 35.725 and her teammate Jessica Wentz placed fourth overall in the 12-year old group with a 36.050. Wentz’s best result was a 9.250 (2nd) on the Uneven Bars. 12-year old Julia Coburn placed third on the Beam with a 9.175. Emma Busch placed fourth on the Floor with a 9.150 in the 10 and under group.
levels 7-10 will travel to Washington, PA to compete in the Gym Dandy Winter
Face Off on Feb 15-16.
