Rudolf Postiglione, 88, Loved the Yankees

Rudolf Postiglione had 17 grandchildren.

Rudolf Postiglione of Warrington and Doylestown died peacefully with family at his side on Thursday October 24 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 88.

Born in the Bronx, New York he was the beloved husband of Josephine Dimino Postiglione and the devoted son of the late Sabino and Antonetta Gesualdi Postiglione.

Rudolf served in the US Navy during World War II and was a radio operator stationed in the Philippines. Rudolf lived most of his married life in Staten Island, NY where he worked for the US Postal Service both in Staten Island and Manhattan for over 17 years. He later changed careers and worked for the Criminal Court System as a Court Officer for the State of New York for nearly two decades before retiring in the mid 80’s.

An avid sports fan he was dedicated to the New York Yankees and shared his enthusiasm for sports with his children. He was a beloved coach of both baseball and basketball players at St. Teresa’s School and Parish on Staten Island for many years. In 2003, he moved to the Doylestown area to be closer to his family, and he was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

God and family came first and foremost in his life with his greatest blessings being his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and is deeply loved.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children; Thomas and his wife Loretta, Richard and his wife Monica, John and his wife Christine, Mary Messina and her husband Roger, Marc and his wife Sarah and Michael and his wife Jennifer. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren; Shawn, Lauren, T.J., Julia, Jenna, Anthony, Nicholas, Christopher, Francesca, Vincent, Joseph, Rachel, Catherine, Emily, Paul, David and Madison.
