Mary Jane K. Carlin, 86, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Organist

Carlin was a devout Roman Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she attended daily and Sunday Mass for over 40 years.

Mary Jane K. Carlin of Doylestown passed Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Pine Run Health Center. She was 86 years old and was the wife of the late William J. Carlin, Esq., who passed in 2004.

Born in 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she was the daughter of the late S. Richard and Mary Elizabeth Klinges. Jane was a graduate of Little Flower High School and Chestnut Hill College. She was a resident of Bucks County for over 60 years.

She was a devout Roman Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she attended daily and Sunday Mass for over 40 years.

Jane was an accomplished organist having presented at Sunday Mass from 1955 until she stopped playing. She loved all things musical. Jane and Bill enjoyed a lifelong relationship with golf. Formerly members of Torresdale Frankford Country Club they joined Cedarbrook Country Club upon their move to Doylestown where they remained members until 2010. Most vacations were spent playing golf with friends and family including many winter golf trips to Florida. If you couldn't find Jane at home or church, you would find her at the Club with Bill or her many friends.

Jane is survived by her three loving children, sons, William (Mary Jeanne) and Richard (JoAnn) and daughter, Jane. Nana will be missed by her five grandchildren, Julia, Sean, William, Ryan and Andrew. Also surviving are her brother, Jack Klinges (Phyllis), as well as niece, Sarah Shultz (Jon) and grand-nephew, Jack. Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Grace and brother, Richard Klinges.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, April 11, at Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, where the family will receive guests from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. The family will also receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 10, at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown. Interment will follow Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Gardens of Pine Run Health Center and the caregivers of Home Instead for all the loving care they provided Jane.
