Julia Thatcher Witmer, 82, Doylestown Native

Born on January 3, 1931, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, Witmer was the daughter of the late Mark and Meda Thatcher.

Julia Thatcher Witmer, a resident of the Wyndemere Estates in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and formerly of Rochester, NY, and Doylestown, PA, died of natural causes at the age of 82 on November 28, 2013, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay.

She was the wife of 56 years of the late Charles R. Witmer, Jr., until his death on June 15, 2011.

Born on January 3, 1931, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Meda (Ahlum) Thatcher.

A graduate of Lebanon Valley College, she was a music teacher.

She is survived by her son, Bill Witmer and his wife Astrid, and their children, Elise, Erik and Soren; and by her daughter-in-law, Miriam Gurniak, wife of the late Charlie Witmer, and their children, Christopher and Jonathan. In addition to her husband, son and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Tom and Bill Thatcher.

Always rambunctious, Julia will be missed dearly.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a future date in Perkasie, PA.
