Joseph A. Farinelli Sr., 74, Central Bucks Grad

Joseph Farinelli, who grew up in Doylestown and was a graduate of Central Bucks High School, passed away Wednesday.

Joseph A. Farinelli Sr. of Jackson Township, N.J. passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 while surrounded by his family at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, N.J. He was 74.

Born in Germantown, Pa., Mr. Farinelli grew up in Doylestown, Pa. and was a graduate of Central Bucks High School. He graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia in 1961.

He was a longtime resident of Montvale and Monroe, N.J. before settling in Jackson Township.

He had a successful career as a retail management executive for W. T. Grant Company and Bradlees. Most recently, he was employed by Executive Property Management, North Brunswick, N.J.

He enjoyed traveling, golf and spending time at Long Beach Island with his grandchildren.

Mr. Farinelli is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, MaryAnne; his four children, Susan and her husband, Robert, of Manalapan, N.J., Joseph Jr. and his wife, Wendy, of Rivervale, N.J., Lisa of Olney, Md., and Gina and her husband, Anthony, of Katy, Texas; his ten grandchildren; and his sister, Jean of New York, N.Y.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp., NJ 08527, where the funeral gathering will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18. The funeral Mass celebrating his life will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp. A private cremation will follow.
