Donald Behm, 70, Cherished His Family

Services for Donald C. Behm will be held Wednesday.

Donald C. Behm of Furlong died Friday, Nov. 1 surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.

Donald was the beloved husband of 47 years to Eileen A. Gordon Behm.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Martha Roberts Behm.

Donald was a former resident of Huntingdon Valley before moving to Furlong in 2007. He worked with Cigna Insurance Company for over 30 years and retired as the Director of Real Estate from Ikon Office Solutions in 2003.

Donald will be remembered as the consummate family man and husband who always looked for ways to bring the family together. He enjoyed quality times spent with his family especially at the Jersey shore. Donald was an avid Penn State Football and Philadelphia sports fan.

He was also passionate about traveling with his family, talking with his children daily, and making special memories with his grandchildren. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Doylestown. Donald will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife Eileen, Donald is survived by his children, John D. Behm and his wife Colleen of New Hope, Carrie Anne Shaw and her husband Christopher of Quakertown and Christopher M. Behm and his fiancée Emily Gannon of Perkasie as well as his seven cherished grandchildren, Carter, Brennan, Tyler, Nolan, Andrew, Alexa and Katherine. He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Beverly Dailey, Charles Behm and wife Joanne, Denise Eustace and husband Mike and Arlene Coffey and husband Gary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings, Tuesday Nov. 5 from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday Nov. 6 from 8:30 to 10 am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 followed by his Funeral Mass 11 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.

Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19013 or Our Lady of Mount Carmel 235 E State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
