Chin Hsia Chong, 68, Owned Chongs Garden

Chin Hsia Chong died Sunday, April 27 after a long and courageous battle against breast cancer.

Chin Hsia Chong, beloved wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 27, 2014 after a long and courageous battle against breast cancer. She was 68.

Chin was born in Taichung, Taiwan and immigrated first to New York City before settling in Doylestown in 1975. She and her husband owned and operated Chongs Garden, a Chinese restaurant located in downtown Doylestown from 1975-2000 where they enjoyed getting to know customers over the years. 

She is survived by her devoted husband Wen of 43 years, her daughter, Suzanne Cho of Ann Arbor, MI, her husband Patrick and their four children, Samantha, Nicholas, Nathalie and Caitlinn, and her son Benjamin Chong of Wynnewood, PA, his wife Julie and their daughter Madeline. 

A visitation will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, April 30th from 1-2 pm. 

Private cremation will follow.
