Peace Valley Park Wins Readers' Hearts
Readers selected the park just outside Doylestown as their favorite low-cost destination.

The winner was Peace Valley Park. The popular park located just minutes from Doylestown received 46 percent of the vote.

The park's offers nature programs and displays to entertain adults and kids alike. It is a popular destination for Bucks County bird-watchers, who set up tripods and cameras or binoculars to search for favorite feathered friends.
Peace Valley also is a popular choice for picnics, and kids enjoy the playground, too.

One of the main attractions is the park's roughly 6-mile loop (my last circuit measured it at 6.2 miles). Walkers, runners and cyclists use the trail for workouts and plenty of people can be found taking in the scenery over Lake Galena while walking their dogs.
