Ceremony at Courthouse Honors Military Members

Local dignitaries turned out for the ceremony, which is part of Doylestown's Bicentennial week.

Local and state officials, military service members and the Doylestown Bicentennial planners gathered Wednesday at the Bucks County Courthouse for a ceremony honoring local military members.

The noon ceremony honored military veterans and active service members, as well as those who have died in service.

Held in the courthouse's Memorial Courtyard, the ceremony was hosted by the Bucks County Commissioners and emceed by Doylestown Historical Society Executive Director Stu Abramson.

It was part of the Doylestown Bicentennial celebration, which began Memorial Day and continues through Saturday, June 2, when it will wrap up with a community picnic and fireworks.
